At Sister Shack, we are a Global Majority and Queer-led activist CIC committed to social justice, inclusion, and the empowerment of marginalised communities. As an intersectional feminist CIC, our mission is to uplift and amplify the voices of women, non-binary people, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those from Global Majority communities. We focus on promoting activists, entrepreneurs, creatives, artists, musicians, and DJs, while tackling the issues that affect these groups most—ranging from intersectional feminism and LGBTQIA+ rights to racism, relationships, consent, and safer spaces.
Our work is driven by a deep belief in social equity, safer spaces, and community inclusion and equity for all. We aim to provide support, guidance, and a platform for those historically excluded, encouraging them to take up space, challenge societal norms, and continue to thrive in all aspects of their lives. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, we strive to create a world where everyone—regardless of background, gender, or identity—can flourish and find their voice.
