We are a queer-led grassroots organisation of people with East and Southeast identities and heritage who formed in direct response to the increased racism that ESA people have experienced here in the UK, and worldwide. We resist and oppose racism with an intersectional understanding of oppression, and are working on building a strong ESA community here in the North East England.
We invite all people to be a part of our network regardless of race. It takes all people to dismantle racism.
Co-founded by Si Long and Angie n Newcastle upon Tyne, we emerged with great influence from the group Asian Unity Over Fear UK as we identified a need for a group with more of a North East focus.
