Explore the art of chainmail through jewellery-making in this accessible introduction to metalwork. Participants will use lightweight rings to create simple chains, leading to the creation of a bracelet or necklace. The session offers a satisfying hands-on process that blends pattern, rhythm, and wearable design.
As part of this 2-hour taster workshop participants will explore two approachable chainmail weaves, learn how to manipulate jump rings with jewellery pliers, and leave with a wearable item created entirely from scratch.
All equipment and materials are provided, but please note that participants will need to be able to use pliers with both hands to fully enjoy this workshop.
