Bend&Shake is a multi-genre queer party run by women and non-binary people of the Global Majority. EVERYONE is welcome, but this event aims to provide a safer space for women, non-binary people, trans people, asylum seekers and QIPOC.

Two Bend's in one month, you lucky people! Join us for a Spring Fling with our latest first Bend timer, TOYANDA, bringing us some Latinx music and more. DJ ABG will do a two-hour set, concentrating on Disco, R&B and nostalgic club tunes. Jacklyn is back with us with an array of lush techno beats. If you are a hip hop, R&B, Soul, Garage fan, or more, then Samara has you covered, and Kitty will be back with their usual bouncy electro energy.

With the absence of what we felt is the inclusive pride party in the North East (authentically organised and hosted by marginalised communities with intersectionality), we're continuing to host Bend&Shake parties. We hope it still offers you an alternative to the Newcastle scene, which we feel misses out on representing marginalised communities. 

As usual, we will provide music that doesn't just stick to the idea of what "queer culture" is. Music will range from House, Baile Funk, Jersey, Soul, Garage, R&B, Drum & Bass, Electro, Disco, Dance, Hip Hop and more. Each DJ brings their own music selection style for a true multi-genre event. Expect an eclectic party.

Tickets are £13+bf in advance and £15 on the door. We also have some advance concession tickets available for £10+bf. Please consider a pay it forward ticket if you can afford to. 

The venue is wheelchair accessible with gender-neutral facilities. And as always, any bad behaviour and you will be asked to leave immediately.

We often have a photographer at our events, and they will take photos throughout the event. Buying a ticket to our events means you consent to your photo being taken and images being used for our promotional purposes. Please let the photographer know if you want to avoid being photographed.

Please note. If all tickets sell out, there will be none on the door.

Refunds are only available if the event is cancelled or rescheduled.
