From the 6th of March to the 13th of March, for International Women's Day programming, we'll be shining a spotlight on two womxn artists/creatives, They will have a space on our website and we'll be posting about them on social media. The first of the two is Dami, aka Visuals by J.O.D and Lewk Good, Do Good.
"Hiya! My name is Dami Fawehinmi (she/her) and I am the founder of Visuals by J.O.D and Lewk Good, Do Good. A brand focused on creating multi-dimensional representation for minoritized communities. For every item sold we donate 10% to charity, so far we have raised £319 for Sistah Space, a domestic violence unit for Black womxn in London. As a Black Queer womxn, ensuring we see ourselves, our beautiful history and our amazing future shown and heard is so important to me. Doing this through our shirts and prints to motivate and inspire people to be 100% themselves and exist unapologetically in this world."
From the 6th of March to the 13th of March, for our International Women's Day programming, we'll be shining a spotlight on two womxn artists/creatives, They will have a space on our website for a week and we'll be posting about them on social media. The second of of the two is Kerry-Anne Mayes.
"Hi, my name is Kerry-Anne Mayes, I’m a freelance illustrator who loves to draw weird and wonderful women. My work is focused on creating real and relatable characters with fantasy elements through the subtleties of symbolism and story telling. I apply themes of femininity, emotion and beauty in my art and aim to explore the idea of ‘womanhood’ which is something I am constantly exploring in myself."
